Kojic Acid Skin Lightening

Kojic Acid Skin Cream is a powerful, high quality, skin lightener. It safely and naturally evens skin tone. It even lightens freckles and age spots. It is highly effective with long term use. This is a much better solution than hydroxyquinolone cream.

Kojic Acid was first discovered in Japan in 1989. It is a natural product that is derived from a mushroom found in Japan. It successfully lightens pigment spots and discolorations, evens skin tones, fights age spots, and lightens freckles. Kojic acid works by preventing the production of melanin in the skin. It penetrates the upper skin layers so that it stops the formation of pigment. This allows the upper layer of skin to lighten and at the same time the deeper layers remain discolored.

A clinical study was done on Treatment of Melasma with Kojic Acid (Dermatol Surg v 25, 1999) in Singapore on 40 Chinese women. Melasma is a non-cancerous disorder that causes dark patches primarily on the face. The women were treated with two different gels. A gel containing 2% Kojic Acid was to be applied on one half of the face and a gel without the Kojic Acid was to be applied on the other half of the face. It was determined that greater results came from the addition of Kojic Acid in the treatment of Melasma. 60% of the Melasma cleared on the side of the face where the Kojic Acid was used compared to only 45.7% of the Melasma cleared from the use of the gel without the Kojic Acid. In 2 patients there was 100% clearance of the Melasma with the use of the Kojic Acid. Overall, Kojic acid further improves melasma.

Kojic Acid Skin Cream works best when used on a regular basis. The effects that come from the use of the cream will last as long as the product is being used. When used regularly, improvements in the skin should be seen within four to six weeks. Results may vary depending on one's skin type. It is effective for any tone or skin type. It has antioxidant properties that are also good for the skin.

Kojic Acid Skin Cream is completely safe. It is a natural solution for lightening of the skin. It is a much safer and better solution that hydroxyquinolone cream. Hydroquinone is synthetic, not a natural substance, and it has been shown to possibly cause skin irritations. It was determined by the American Occupational Safety Hazard Administration (OSHA) to be highly toxic and when used without precautions it may cause mutations. It has been banned in Europe and limited to a maximum concentration of 2% in North America because of safety concerns.

So, if you are interested in lightening your skin or evening your skin tone naturally and safely use Kojic Acid Skin Cream. You should never pay more than .95 for a 2oz jar of Kojic Acid Skin Cream.

Does Kojic Acid soap really help in lightening the skin?

    • Mary Jane Brown says:

Kojic Acid is the best skin lightner available on the market…in fact it is used in teeth whitening as well as for pigmentation…it is hioghly effective. The best form of Kojic Acid available is obviously the freshest form available.
I have found that the best is to buy the fresh form…100% concentrate..in fact i have tried some excellent Kojic Acid ampoules called Dermastir Kojic Acid Ampoules by Alta Care Laboratoires – Paris. These ampoules contain the freshest and most active form of Kojic Acid, which has not been processed in anyway (unlike for example the soap you mentioned!) Each ampoule is monodose – just for one application, so since it is used straight away it is even more active. I tried them – and they worked!
You can buy them online from http://www.altacare.com

I think a lot of pharmacies sell hydroquinone 2% solution, which is supposed to be good for lightening dark spots that are caused by sun exposure. If you’re looking to treat your skin all over to make your skin lighter than its natural color…I wouldn’t. All skin lightening products need to be used in moderation, because they can cause skin damage, which would make you look prematurely older. Or like a burn victim. Or patcy, like you have mange. I think you’ll be happier if you work to make the skin you have now healthier.

Does kojic acid lotions really lighten your skin all over?

    • apple says:

It sounds dangerous. If you are trully serious about lightening your whole body, best to see a dermatologist for advise. You could also use whitening products such as Estee Lauder cyber white. Its for your face and throat but if you cld afford it, use it all over your body. It would certainly help to make your skin lighter. Always remember that whatever products for your face is safe to be used on any part of your body but not the other way round. I don’t waste my stuff. If i bought a face cream which i don’t like, i would use it on my arms, legs etc. Hope this helps and good luck,

Kojic acid is a natural brightener that is derived from mushrooms. It is natural but should be used with caution. Always add in sunscreen to protect the skin. Like most skin lighteners it take time for the products to work. I use a kojic acid that is an allover cream.

    Kojic Acid and skin lightning?
I have recently started using a kojic acid cream for a few unfortunately placed freckles. I have been just rubbing the cream on the general area, and I was wondering if that will lighten all of my skin or just the darker freckles. For any of you guys who use skin lightning stuff on freckles, do you place just a dot of cream on each individual freckle or do you rub it on the general area? Thanks :)

i would go with papaya kojic acid. i’m filipino, so i’ve used this before. it might make your skin irritated though, so don’t leave the soap on for more than a few seconds.

Can you tell when someone lightens their skin?
I wanna know that if people can tell if someone lighten or used skin lightners(kojic acid soap), and is it safe to use lighten soaps/creams if you have sensitive skin?

    • Katy says:

Sometimes you can tell but it depends mainly on the individual’s ethnicity. If you have the facial features characteristic to a racial group that is known to have a darker skin type, then people would probably suspect it. For example, if it’s obvious that you’re of African or Native American descent but have a really fair color of skin, it would seem unnatural. A caramel-tone of color would be the lightest you can go. About the safety of utilizing the lightening creams, however, I recommend you find one labeled for sensitive skin and be careful as to how much of it you use.
Staying out of the sun as much as possible and using a liberal amount of protection (spf 45 or higher sunblock) everyday is also essential in attaining a lighter skin tone.

Who wants to try HQRA cream (for lightening skin from hyper-pigmentation/acne scars)?
    Hello all,

I went to a dermatologist over the summer and he prescribed me HQRA (7% hydroquinone with other ingredients like kojic acid) cream to lighten skin from my acne scars/hyper-pigmentation. I bought 2 extra bottles because I knew I would be moving to Europe. But it would take me forever to finish because you don’t need to put much (excessive amounts makes skin VERY dry), and most of it is lightening up anyway. Who’s interested in buying? I can’t sell it on Ebay since it’s prescription strength.

It is costly though (one bottle is 2 oz. and cost $150), but lasts a long time, and won’t go bad/expire as long as you keep it cold and refrigerated. Product info including my dermatologists info, website, and full list of ingredients is still on the label.

If interested in purchasing, post here or email me at robolegojupiter@yahoo.com

Does kojic acid soap permanently lighten skin?
I just bought g&g dynamiclair soap and want to know if it permanently lightens the skin.. do i have to use suncreen when using it?

    • tt says:

Unfortunately you can’t just use soap, you have to use a skin lightener as well. I searched and searched all around and tried so many products but finally found a skin lightener that worked for me. It is very expensive and comes in small containers but worked so well for me. It lightened me about 3 shades lighter and made me light skinned again after years of harsh sun damage. I have two containers left and no longer use them and can sell them to you for a discounted price so you can try them. I no longer need the product anymore. Please email me at lady_of_uc@yahoo.com if you are interested.

What skin lightening soaps can I get?
I really NEED a skin lightening soap because I got really dark in the summer, plus I always wanted a lighter complexion. I am tired of natural remedies that never work so I need a recommendation on a skin lightening soap that will actually work. I was thinking about getting the Likas Papaya soap or the Diana Stalder Kojic acid soap, but i can’t order anything offline because I won’t be able to pay for it, and my parents probably wouldn’t approve of it anyway. What skin lightening soap can I buy from a store?

Does kojic acid soap really lighten skin?
Does it really lighten skin? Because I purchased mine from ebay and ive been using it for lyk a month with no difference isit because its fake?! I herd there are a lot of fakes on ebay.. or do I have to wait longer to see results? and no i dont hate my skin i just have dark patches which i HATE:(

    • Dani In Progress says:

No… kojic acid is an excellent skin lightener. Your problem is one of two things.

      1. If you have DARK PATCHES, using the soap is lightening YOUR WHOLE FACE. So you haven’t changed the contrast between the dark patches and the color you want to achieve. It’s like brightening a whole TV picture instead of just the buildings or just the people. You need a SPOT treatment to lighten the dark areas. It’s expensive but PCA makes a pigment gel that you apply ONLY to dark or discolored’ areas.

      2. The AMOUNT of koic acid in some products isn’t enough to do CRAP. Look for professional brands in a spa or skin care clinic.

      Good luck!
